Work Experience – Summary

After 3 hard years as CTO and co-founder of my own business, drinksin.com Ltd, in 2011 I decided to move on. I learnt that pure hard work, dedication, determination and sweat isn’t always enough to make a successful business.

As the only technical resource and with over 14 years of experience in design, support and performance of high class scalable multimedia services for a major Worldwide Mobile Operator, I was solely responsible for the technical solution, support and delivery of the marketing platform.

Using my established networks I helped create partnerships and opportunities with market leading companies. One such meeting lead to Nokia developing a version of the iPhone app I designed and built for the Worldcup 2010, which was later promoted in International magazines, the London newspaper, all Phones4u stores and the Nokia.co.uk homepage itself without any cost to drinksin. Footy Pubs 2010 was an application I built that gave you directions to the nearest pub showing the games and the ability to share your location with friends through twitter and facebook.

Wearing a number of different hats I was solely responsible for the day to day running of the 20+ websites, the mobile versions, SEO, back office systems, development, testing, integration with billing, SMS, Flickr, Facebook, Twitter and designed and built a platform that was both scalable and operable whilst on a very tight budget.

Repeatedly proving myself by delivering, I have the ability to tackle any technical problem to find a solution that works.

Having now moved on from drinksin.com, the lessons learnt and experienced gained have proved to be a stepping stone to new areas and equally welcomed challenges. I am always looking for new opportunities but have found my real passion to be in maximising impact on new start-ups by using the experience, contacts and knowledge I have gained over the years.

Alway interested in expanding my network, if you have any ideas you’d like to discuss where you think I could make a big difference, get in touch.
